Downtown Naperville has been busy this year, and if you haven’t walked Jefferson and Main lately, you’re overdue. Here’s what’s new, what’s opening soon, and what to expect when you get there.

The George — 245 S. Washington St. A refined, Naperville-themed American tavern from the team that knows this town well, The George reimagines pub classics with a nod to the town’s history. Good for a casual dinner or drinks with friends. georgenaperville.com

The Belmont — 35 S. Washington St. (formerly Catch 35) An American steakhouse that’s stepped into one of downtown’s most storied restaurant spaces. If you’re looking for a proper night-out dinner, this is the new go-to. belmontsteak.com 

Lennon’s — 16 W. Jefferson Ave. A full-service restaurant and lounge with globally inspired flavors that feel both fresh and familiar, serving lunch, brunch, and dinner. Built for shared plates and offering unique dining experiences like dinner & a show!  downtownnaperville.com

Free People — 55 S. Main St. and FP Movement — 215 S. Main St. Free People brings its signature boho, on-trend fashion downtown, while its activewear sister brand FP Movement (just a short walk away) covers yoga, running, and everyday performance wear. Free People | FP Movement

Vuori — 110 W. Jefferson Ave. Athletic and performance wear for men and women, built for movement and styled for everyday life. This one’s been on my list to visit. vuoriclothing.com

Alo — 21 W. Jefferson Ave. Alo Yoga has landed downtown with its studio-to-street apparel — great for anyone building out their yoga or athleisure wardrobe .ALO

Barnes & Noble — 9 W. Jackson Ave. The beloved bookstore is officially back downtown at its new address, with books, magazines, toys, and all the browsing time you want to give it. Barnes & Noble

Brandy Melville — 50 S. Main St., Main Street Promenade Coming soon: Brandy Melville’s first Chicago-suburb location, opening later this summer at the Main Street Promenade. Worth watching if you follow the brand. Brandy Melville
